QUADBIKE RIDE 90 min (GZ Adventures)
Our experienced guides will take you out of your comfort zone for a one or two-hour trail through bush trees and occasionally through mud and puddles, dependent on rainfall. This is a truly picturesque, adrenaline pumping fun activity to be tried by all.
RIVER RAFTING 2 Hrs (GZ Adventures)
Tackle a fun filled 4km river trip to our exit points. Meet for admin and issue of equipment for the excursion. Once kitted we take a leisurely road trip to the launch site 4km’s upriver from exit point. The rafting trips include grade 1 and 2 rapids with weirs that can become grade 3 or 4. The river is abundant with birds and wildlife.
GO KARTS (GZ Adventures)
Our well maintained go karts allows you to cruise or speed around the interesting and challenging tracks, according to your rider level. Choose between 6 or 12 laps
MAROPENG TOUR
The Maropeng Visitor Centre is an award-winning, world-class exhibition, focusing on the development of humans and our ancestors over the past few million years.
Take a journey through time, starting with the formation of the planet and moving all the way through the evolutionary processes that culminated in the world as we know it today. See fossils, learn about how humankind was born, view stone tools that are up to one million years old, and much more. This self-guided, interactive tour allows you to take all the time you need to ponder humanity’s fascinating origin story.
STERKFONTEIN CAVES TOUR
The scientific exhibition centre showcases a reconstruction of a mined cave (versus a pristine cave), cave formations and geology, early life forms, mammals and hominid fossils. It describes in detail important finds such as “Mrs Ples”, the “Taung Child” and “Little Foot”, as well as providing information about fossilisation, palaeobotany and landscapes. World-acclaimed and award-winning palaeoartist, John Gurche, whose exhibits can be seen at the Smithsonian Institute, the Field Museum and the American Museum of Natural History in New York and who worked on the film Jurassic Park, has produced all the lifelike hominid illustrations, from the 7-million-year-old Toumai fossil from Chad, through to modern humans.
QUADBIKE RIDE 90 min (Lion & Safari Park)
Enjoy a slow, relaxed and scenic quad bike safari with your loved ones through our park. Our qualified instructors will lead the way. There will be stops along the way to experience and capture wildlife closeby. Come and collect beautiful moments and enjoy the breathtaking views of the African bush.
GAME DRIVE (Rhino & Lion Park)
More than thirty species of game, including three of the big five, can be viewed from open vehicles in the presence of an experienced SATOUR-registered guide. These include Kruger Lion, White Rhino and Buffalo. Endangered species, such as wild dog have been reintroduced into the area. Cheetah, hippo, crocodile and more than 20 species of antelope will also be part of this experience. From a vulture hide, the visitor has the opportunity to view and photograph the rare Cape Vulture. Proof that leopard occasionally traverse the area has also been found.

WONDERCAVE (Rhino & Lion Park)
This is the 3rd largest chamber is South Africa, the largest being Cango Caves and second largest Sudwala Caves. The entrance to the cave is going down 87 stair at a 45 degrees angle dropping 22 meters below the surface. You will then go down an elevator with a drop of a further 18 meters into the cave. No crawling necessary. Conducted tours every 2 hrs
MALAPA MUSEUM TOUR
An adventure taking you from the cataclysmic origins of the region, to the extraordinary discoveries that have shaped our understanding of human origins. HOT AIR BALLOON RIDE (Air ventures)
Our Classic Air Balloon Flight offers guests the serene beauty of floating gently over the Cradle of Humankind or the Magaliesberg, while sipping on champagne, as the pilot allows the hot air balloon at times to drift at tree top height and at other times will ascend into the skies, offering guests a panoramic view of the beautiful African landscape below.
PAINT BALL (GZ Adventures)
An fun and easy going couple of hours with young and old competing on equal footing as they score on accuracy in shooting at targets from water balloons, standard targets, bottles and moving targets. This is a low impact no contact activity. Choose from on range 100/200 rounds or target shooting 50 rounds
WILDLIFE HORSE TRAIL (Lion & Safari Park)
You will be met at reception by one of our Safari guides, and taken up to our horses. You will meet your trail guide here, who will introduce you to your horse, fit your helmet, and take you off on your adventure for a one-hour horse ride around our park with spectacular views, and wildlife. On return, you will be escorted back in the Safari vehicle by your guide.
LION & SAFARI PARK GAME DRIVE
Led by one of our qualified and experienced guides the 1 hour guided tour will introduce you to some of South Africa’s most famous predators. This amazing experience in one of our modern safari trucks will take you through the Lion, Wild dog and Cheetah enclosures where you will have an opportunity to find out more about these incredible animals. During the tour, you may also get the opportunity to see many of our herbivore species including Giraffe, Zebra, Springbok, and Impala.
FLYFISHING INTRO CLINIC (Sundowner Flyfishing Adventures @ Lanseria Country Estate)
An opportunity for adults & children to try a new adventure activity in a safe and secure environment. This is a great way to learn all about the skills and techniques to enjoy fly fishing. The equipment and flies are available for hire, however you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Experienced guides will patiently teach you the basic skills required for fly fishing and to assist with practical fishing guidance. Guests selecting the lesson are able to continue fishing on the dams and with rented equipment for the rest of the day.
4X4 TRAIL (Lion & Safari Park)
Your entry to the trail includes access to the entire 1,000 hectares of the mountainous game park with its variety of wild animals roaming free. All the Lion and carnivore enclosures are also included in your entry.
The 4×4 track is suitable for regular 4×4 vehicles with some challenging obstacles for the more adventurous with the necessary escape route for the less brave.
Our mountain top boma with have braai fires ready for those who would like to burn some meat after their day in the Bush.
MTB Trail (Lion & Safari Park)
Enjoy an early morning cycle through the wildlife in the Lion & Safari Park reserve.

DAY FLYFISHING (Lanseria Country Estate )
Did someone say they are looking for day fly fishing venues with quality trout? Lanseria Country Estate is a great venue offering catch and release and catch/keep/pay trout fishing to suit all types in Joburg/West Rand. Sundowner Flyfishing Adventures at Lanseria Country Estate offers day fly fishing access for trout. There is a daily limit of fly fishing guests.
4 X 4 SELF DRIVE – OWN VEHICLE (Lanseria Country Estate)
Our track is ideal for a solid introduction to the wonderful world of off road adventure and a great family outing. Our track obstacles are set in a natural environment and guests will commence with relatively easy to overcome obstacles with difficulty increasing as they progress through the course. Come and put yourself and your vehicle to the test! The type of obstacles you can expect to find with us will be steep gradients, side slopes, cross axles, mud ruts, ditch crossings and water crossings.
4 X 4 EXPERIENCE (Lanseria Country Estate)
Breakfast snacks on arrival followed by off-road driving lecture & safety briefing by conducted by qualified instructor. An introduction to basic vehicle layout & functions will be presented after which the delegate will experience an Off-road driving adventure over the various obstacles on our 4×4 Course.
