Let’s go fishing! We are proud to announce a collaboration between Lanseria Country Estate and Sundowner Flyfishing Adventures. We have 2 well stocked dams well suited for novice and experienced sport anglers. In the winter months, Rainbow and Brown Trout (up to 2.5kg) are extremely active whilst in the summer months, Common and Grass Carp, Blou Kurper, bass and Catfish are about. Take a quick break from work for an hour or two, bring the kids after school or come spend the day. On most days we provide a fishing monitor who is on hand to assist with your basic fishing requirements.
Fishing seasons are divided between low season (1 Oct to 31 March) and high season (1 April to 31 Sept). Please download attachment for detailed info sheet.
Catch and release encouraged only for trout between 1 April and 30 September, however trout may be kept and paid for. Access times for day fishing depends on season and ranges between 6:30/7am and 5pm. Whilst should you be staying over in our lodge you will have the benefit of being able to fishing during dusk and dawn as well.
If your kids are celebrating a birthday party or special celebration then our kids fishing parties are a great option (special package available and valid for ages 10-12 yrs old).
In addition to fishing at your leisure we also offer small group clinics on Saturday or Sunday’s, as well as individual private fly fishing clinics (flexible times). We will also be offering evening fly tying and other flyfishing related events. Please see our downloadable brochure for further information on any of the above.
Rods, flies and fishing tackle are available for hire or purchase.
